This historic image from 1967, depicted a scenario that had taken place during a measles immunization project held in Cobb County, Georgia. In this scene, Dr. Maximillian Yekpe, Chief of Smallpox Eradication Service and Consultant in Dahomey (now Benin), West Africa, was in the process of administering an immunization to a young boy’s upper right arm, while using a Hypo-Spray® Jet Injector. Standing behind Dr. Yekpe, were foreign dignitaries, Dahomey Health Minister, Dr. Daouda Badarou, and his wife, Dr. Emilie Badarou.
