This historic image from 1967, depicted a young girl, who’s portrait was used in an exhibit created to disseminate the message, “Eradicate Measles”. This girl was normal at the time this image was captured, and highlighted the girl’s happy demeanor, and clear complexion. In the exhibit, this image was compared to that of a girl infected with measles, who displayed the characteristic rash, and sickly appearance associated with this viral disease.
