This historic image from 1965, was captured in the city of San Antonio, Texas, and depicted Dr. D.J. Schliessman crouched at a gravesite, and pointing to a gravestone indicating the cause of death of the person buried was yellow fever. The irony of this scene was brought to bear as Dr. Schliessman was holding a flower pot in his right hand, which trapped water, thereby, providing an ideal breeding ground for the Aedes aegypti mosquito, which is a yellow fever vector.
