Description:Here, Enterococcus faecalis bacteria are being cultured on an agar plate during a drug-sensitivity test in an anaerobic environment.
Enterococcus (streptococcus) faecalis, a facultative anaerobe, is a normal inhabitant of intestinal tract and female genital tract and is occasionally associated with urinary tract infection, bacteremia and bacterial endocarditis.
