This image depicts the gloved hand of a technician who was placing a Western blot strip in a test tray. Antigens if present will bind to this sheet and later be detected. False positive tests that may results, when using the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, or ELISA test, will require secondary tests to be run using this Western blot, immunoblotting procedure. The bound antigens are detected when tagged with antibodies during analysis of the nitrocellulose sheet.
