This 1964 photograph depicted a left lateral view of the torso of a penned Yorkshire sow, that was a member of a herd in Pennsylvania. The circular lesion above the shoulder, was first noted 20-months previously, and measured 15 X 18 cm. It was found to have been caused by the fungal organism, Microsporum nanum.
