This image was captured in 1977, and depicted a National Enquirer cover headline, which read, Legionnaires Disease – The Great Hoax, that was published during the Legionnaires Disease outbreak in July 1976. It was soon after discovered at the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), that the disease Legionellosis is an infection caused by the bacterium, Legionella pneumophila.
