Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) partnered with Pattimura University in Ambon, Indonesia, to develop a new strategy to rapidly identify the reasons, why community members don’t participate in lymphatic filariasis mass drug administration (MDA) campaigns, a critical strategy to eliminate lymphatic filariasis, or elephantiasis. This image was captured, while survey supervisors, Chindyria Ihalauw and Awi Nazliah, were selecting households that would be interviewed, to determine what motivates members of the community to participate in treatment campaigns.
