On World Polio Day, for a STOP deployment as a Global Rapid Response Team global responder, Canditra McLemore painted her finger with the vaccination marker, to allow young children to show their finger, and verify they had received the oral Polio vaccine. Sometime young children were afraid to show their hand, but they were often soothed by seeing Candi had the mark too. It was also to test the quality and longevity of the marker in the field. This image was captured in Machakos County, Kenya, located outside of the country’s capital city Nairobi.
