Description:A photomicrograph of a syphilitic microgumma of the heart.
Microgumma seen in the heart, possess a central zone of necrosis surrounded by large numbers of plasma cells and lymphocytes. Vascular proliferation is present on the periphery. The tissue was stained using H&E technique; magnification 950X.
