Under a magnification of 475X, this photomicrograph revealed some of the ultrastructural morphology exhibited by a fungal organism from the genus, Paecilomyces. Note the branched conidiophores, emanating from septate, hyaline hyphae, each tipped by a tapered phialide, from which projected a chain of elliptical-shaped, smooth walled conidia.
