Under a magnification of 970X, this photomicrograph revealed some of the ultrastructural morphology exhibited by a Scopulariopsis sp., fungal organism, in a specimen processed using the lactophenol cotton blue (LPCB)-staining method. Here, you could see the organism’s septate filamentous hyphae, and two, basipetal chains of rough-walled conidia, each chain emanating from a single annelide.
