Under a magnification of 475X, this photomicrograph revealed some of the ultrastructural morphology exhibited by the fungal organism, Aspergillus clavatus. This view highlighted one of the organism’s clavate-shaped vesicles, or conidial heads, topped with numerous phialides. The vesicle had liberated its store of conidia, which could be seen free floating throughout the field of view.
