At a magnification of 200X, this was a photomicrograph of a specimen, viewed under phase contrast illumination. Ultrastructural morphology of the fungal organism, Saccharomyces cerevisiae was highlighted. Note the numerous filamentous pseudohyphae in this field of view. See PHIL 22986, for a view of this specimen under bright field illumination.
