Under a magnification of 200X, and using bright field illumination, this photomicrograph of a specimen, grown on cornmeal with tween®-80 agar (CMTA), revealed numerous mycelia, produced by the fungal organism, Candida albicans, formerly known as Candida stellatoidea. See PHIL 22946, for this slide viewed using phase contrast illumination.
