Under a magnification of 100X, and using phase contrast illumination, this photomicrograph of a specimen, grown on cornmeal with tween®-80 agar (CMTA), revealed numerous mycelia, produced by the fungal organism, Candida albicans, formerly known as Candida stellatoidea.
