This image depicted a left anterior-oblique view of a female patient’s left chest and shoulder region, which displayed a cutaneous lesion diagnosed as ringworm, or tinea corporis, caused by two dermatophytic fungal organisms, Trichophyton rubrum, and T. concentricum. The individual was an inhabitant of New Guinea.
