Caption:
Under a magnification of 940X, and prepared using the Giemsa staining method, this photomicrograph depicted what is known as a HeLa cell monolayer culture, which was still in a pure, uninoculated state. Compare to PHIL 599, which depicted a HeLa cell culture, which had been inoculated with Trypanosoma cruzi parasites.
