This female patient was lying in a prone position in a healthcare setting, which exposed her back, and the cutaneous lesion that ran the length of her spine. The lesion was a result of a Staphylococcus sp. bacterial infection, which involved the patient’s entire spinal column. See PHIL 22331, for another view of this patient's condition.
