This image depicted a medial view of a patient’s right foot. The person had sustained a snake bite, inflicted by a copperhead rattlesnake, a member of the genus, Agkistrodon. Note the swelling exhibited in the ankle region, and the broken skin surface at the snake bite site. See PHIL 22338, for another view of this patient’s snake bite.
