Caption:
These penned pigs had been tested for the presence of Trichinella spiralis, by having undergone an intradermal skin test, whereupon, each animal was injected with an antigenic mixture prepared from T. spiralis larvae. Pigs infected with T. spiralis, will have produced antibodies against these organisms, and in response, would have produced a reaction towards the injected T. spiralis antigen.
