Under a magnification of 500X, this photomicrograph of a section of spinal cord tissue, harvested from an infant, revealing the presence of cytomegalic inclusion cells. These cells are also referred to as owl-eye inclusion cells, and were due to a case of cytomegalic inclusion disease, caused by the cytomegalovirus.
