Under a magnification of 300X, this photomicrograph of a section of liver tissue, harvested from an infant, focused on a bile duct, which revealed the presence of cytomegalic inclusion cells in the wall of the duct. These cells are also referred to as owl-eye inclusion cells, and were due to a case of cytomegalic inclusion disease, caused by the cytomegalovirus.
