Under a magnification of 400X, this photomicrograph of a section of kidney cortical tissue, harvested from an infant, revealed the presence of cytomegalic inclusion cells, also referred to as owl-eye inclusion cells, in a case of cytomegalic inclusion disease, caused by the cytomegalovirus. See PHIL 22209, for another view of these inclusion cells, under a lesser magnification.
