Under a magnification of 1400X, this photomicrograph revealed some of the ultrastructural morphology exhibited by this dermatophytic fungal organism, which was a species of Arthroderma. The specimen was provided by the International Mycological Association (IMA). This view, offers us a close look at the hyphae, which are referred to as ossiform, i.e., looking like a bone, reflecting their shape, as a chain of dumbbells.
