Under a magnification of 900X, this photomicrograph revealed the presence of a cyst-staged, Entamoeba hartmanni microorganism, in a specimen prepared using the Kohn stain method. In this focal plane, you are able to see two distinct nuclei, each containing a single, centrally situated karyosome, as well as a cigar-shaped, darkly stained chromatoid body.
