This image depicts a lateral view of a patient’s right elbow displaying signs of a group B sStreptococcus (GBS) bacteremia, with localized edema and erythema, caused by the bacterium Streptococcus agalactiae. In this case, the GBS bacteria had entered the blood stream, and migrated to the subcutaneous tissues of the right elbow.
