This 1967 image, depicted what was the interior of what was referred to as the Bat Room, which was located inside the Southwest Rabies Investigation Station (SWRIS), in Las Cruces, New Mexico. In this view, you were able to see a colony of bats that were huddled in a corner of the room, adjacent to the ceiling.
