Captured on a farm in Tucson, Arizona, this 1954 image depicted a positive results of an intradermal skin test, performed on the neck region of a bovine farm animal, which involved the injection of a formulation known as coccidioidin, created from broth in which Coccidioides spp. mycelia had been cultivated.
