Under a magnification of 475X, this photomicrograph of a slide culture, revealed some of the ultrastructural morphology exhibited by the fungal organism, Cutaneotrichosporon cutaneum, formerly known as Trichosporon cutaneum. In this view, you were able to see the septate hyphae, some of which were undergoing a transformative process producing ovoid, and rectangular arthroconidia.
