This historic photograph, captured in 1960, depicted the campus of what was the Public Health Service’s (PHS), Communicable Disease Center (CDC), Greeley Field Station, located in Greeley, Colorado. In this view, you are looking at the laboratory buildings of the of the station’s Encephalitis Section. In 1992, the Communicable Disease Center (CDC) was renamed the modern day Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
