Caption:
This image depicted two chest x-rays in the case of a child with a case of mycoplasma pneumonia, caused by the bacterium, Mycoplasma pneumoniae. On the left, an anteroposterior (AP) chest x-ray revealed pathologic changes within both lung fields, including diffuse, generalized, pulmonary infiltrate that had spread throughout, producing an overall haziness. You can also see that there was bilateral hilar involvement, indicating hilar adenopathy. Both of these findings can be seen in the AP view, as well as the left lateral view on the right.
