With toes splayed by a clinician, this photograph depicted the right foot of a young girl, which displayed a number of maculopapular lesions on the interdigital skin between some of the child’s toes. The patient had received her primary smallpox vaccination, and subsequently developed this generalized vaccinial rash. See PHIL 21511, for a view of the girl’s face, in which you will see more of this generalized vaccinial rash.
