Caption:
This Petri dish culture plate contained Thayer-Martin growth medium, which had been inoculated with a bacterial culture obtained from a cervical specimen, harvested from a suspected gonorrhea patient. As you can see, after having been incubated for an unspecified length of time, the plate produced numerous, tiny, grayish-white to colorless bacterial colonies, indicative of a positive presence for Neisseria gonorrhoeae bacteria.
