Under a magnification of 300X, this photomicrograph revealed some of the ultrastructural details exhibited by the fungal organism, Blastoschizomyces capitatus, formerly known as Trichosporon capitatum, and Geotrichum capitatum. Note the presence of elongated, pseudohyphae, referred to as anthroconidia, and cylindrical to ovoid shaped annelloconidia.
