Description: Caption:
Under a magnification of 300X, this photomicrograph revealed some of the ultrastructural morphology exhibited by the fungal organism, Geotrichum candidum, which had been cultivated on an eosin-methylene blue (EMB) agar plate. Important to note, were the branched, septate hyphae, some of which had broken apart, in order to release elongated arthroconidia, which measured on average, 6-12µm x 3-6µm.
