Under a magnification of 200X, this photomicrograph of a tissue sample, depicted what is known as a chronic granulomatous granule, which had been caused by the fungal organism, Falciformispora senegalensis, formerly known as Leptosphaeria senegalensis, in a case of black grain eumycetoma.
