Under a magnification of 1150X, this photomicrograph of a Gram-stained sample, revealed numbers of Gram-positive, irregularly-stained, Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis, formerly Corynebacterium ovis, bacteria. These organisms are usually rod-shaped, though pleomorphic. These had been cultured on a growth medium of blood heart infusion (BHI) agar, for a 2-day incubation time period.
