Created in May 2015, by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Epidemiologist, Caitlin M. Worrell, MPH, this image depicted a collection of dried blood samples, obtained from school children in Haiti, as part of a transmission assessment survey (TAS), being carried out in the Dondon Commune in Northern Haiti. The results of such surveys, allows the national program to determine if mass drug administration had been successful in reducing the prevalence of lymphatic filariasis (LF). This was one of the entries in the 2015 CDC Connects, Public Health in Action Photo Contest.
