Created in January 2015, during the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Ebola Response, by CDC Public Health Analyst, Leslie R. McCree, this image depicted a group of children from an orphanage, who had gathered during a site visit to the township of West Point, in the capital city of Monrovia, Liberia. The children were excited to see a United Nations Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) staff member, who had arrived with a bag full of soccer balls, and was explaining to the children the importance of being patient, and not all running for the balls all at once. This was one of the entries in the 2015 CDC Connects, Public Health in Action Photo Contest.
