Captured in the Guinean capital city of Conakry, this image was created by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Information and Communication Specialist, Alex Alvarez, and depicted CDC staff members, who had been deployed to Guinea in response to the country’s Ebola outbreak, as they were speaking with young students in order to help educate them on the topic of Ebola prevention. This program was strongly supported by the Guinean U.S. Ambassador, as part of an informational campaign focused on ending the epidemic. This was one of the entries in the 2015 CDC Connects, Public Health in Action Photo Contest.
