Caption:
This image depicted a Petri dish culture plate containing growth medium of Middlebrook 7H10 agar, that had been inoculated with the bacterium, Mycobacterium kansasii. Here, you could see a close view of one of the resultant bacterial colonies, after having undergone an unknown incubation period. This happened to have been a yellowish, cream-colored colony with a raised central region, and a floccular, irregularly edged periphery.
