Under a magnification of 98X, this photomicrograph revealed some of the ultrastructural details exhibited by two granules of the fungal organism, Madurella grisea. You can see the edge of each granule was composed of cells characteristically much darker thank those within their interiors, as well as the presence of septate hyphae in the interior region.
