Under a magnification of 300X, this photomicrograph revealed some of the ultrastructural details exhibited by a granule of the fungal organism, Madurella grisea. Note that the edge of the granule was composed of cells characteristically much darker thank those in the granule’s interior, as well as the presence of septate hyphae in the interior region.
