This image depicted a left lateral view of a child’s torso, buttock, and thigh, revealing a skin infection known as dermatitis gangrenosa infantum, or disseminated cutaneous gangrene, a gangrenous infection of the skin, which in this case, was caused by the bacterium of the genus, Pseudomonas.
