This is an example of a female Chilean recluse spider, Loxosceles laeta, poised to strike after having been disturbed in her dark environment, that was inside a manmade structure. This recluse can grow to 25mm in length, and is pale yellow to reddish-brown. L. laeta is a member of the most toxic species of Loxosceles spiders.
