This photomicrograph depicted numerous, characteristically globose-shaped, primary conidia, which had been produced by the fungal organism, Conidiobolus coronatus, formerly known as Entomophthora coronata. Note the presence of hair-like appendages projecting from the outer wall of each conidium, classifying these as villose type spores.
