This image depicted what was a mosquito collection vacuum, used here, to collect arthropods flying along this roadside area. This machine was comprised of an attic fan, which funneled air so as to create a suction, drawing mosquitoes into a collecting filter. This particular device had been mounted on the bed of a pick-up truck.
