Under a magnification of 475X, this photomicrograph of a Gram-stained tissue specimen, harvested from the tongue of a cow, revealed some of the histopathology exhibited by a chronic inflammatory granule, in a case of bovine actinobacillosis, also referred to as wooden tongue disease, which was caused by a member of the bacterial genus, Actinobacillus.
