Under a magnification of 450X, and viewed using a fluorescent antibody (FA) staining technique, this photomicrograph revealed the presence of Cryptococcus diffluens organisms, as evidenced by these glowing green fungal cells. This grouping was composed of four pairs of budding cells, and two, individual organisms. One of the organisms in the upper center-right, was in the process of just beginning the budding reproductive process.
